We are excited to welcome back nursery. Our goal as always is to foster a deeper connection between your kids and the Lord, while still creating an environment that gives you peace of mind. Please take some time to review the plans and policies for our ministry:

Preschool

CHECK-IN: We will have our check-in table next to the Toddler’s and 2nd and 3rd grade’s classroom. Please use the social distancing markers in the check-in area.

HEALTH SCREEN: Before checking in children, we will conduct a health check of each child and parent. If your child(ren) is experiencing any of the symptoms listed below, we will not be allowing him or her to attend at this time.
  • A temperature >=100.4 or chills, now or in the last 48 hours
  • New sudden loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat, dry cough, or trouble breathing
  • Fatigue, headache, or body aches
  • Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

DROP-OFF: As you drop off and pick up your children, please:
  • Only one parent per child.
  • Take your children to the restroom prior to dropping them off in their classrooms.

All ages will be dropped off at the check-in table, do not leave your child in any other place.

PRECAUTIONS
Children will only directly interact with the teacher and other children in their classroom. Social distancing will be encouraged but will not be enforced in the classroom. Instead, the focus will be on maintaining a hygienic environment by:
  • Encouraging the use of hand sanitizer during key transitions throughout service
  • Packaging supplies for individual use
  • Replacing toys and sanitizing surfaces between services

Chairs have been positioned 6’ apart. Each grade level will have a limited number of children for each class, but we have setup additional rooms for overflow in case this is needed.

PICK-UP (Preschool): Social distancing markers will be placed outside the classroom and down the hall. Each child will be released in an orderly fashion on a first come, first serve basis.

Safety, Sanitization, Hygiene, & Cleaning
  • Our volunteers will perform self-health-checks prior to serving and will not serve if exhibiting any of the symptoms listed above.
  • Hand sanitizer will be present in all rooms, and children will be encouraged to wash hands/use sanitizer throughout their time at church.
  • Toy selection will be limited, and bins of toys will be sanitized for each service.
  • Craft materials, like crayons and glue sticks, will be packaged for individual use.
  • High-use surfaces, including restrooms, will be sanitized before and after any service.

SNACKS 
Snacks will not be served at this time. Water fountains will be inaccessible as well. If you choose to send a water bottle with your child, please make sure and mark their name clearly.

GAMES 
If a teacher chooses to integrate games into their lesson. Games will be chosen:
  • To limit or eliminate interpersonal contact.
  • To utilize as many individualized props/supplies as possible
  • To maximize spacing between children
  • Children will use hand sanitizer both at the beginning and at the end of game time
